Scope note
Display cabinets having many openings or drawers, that were originally designed to hold and display multiple relics of a saint, martyr, deity, or other holy person. Later the term came to mean similar cabinets intended to hold historical artifacts or curiosities of any kind, usually modest in size and having a common theme.
